New MonsterJobs post for your monsterjob

7000 monsterjobs go at monsterjob mill and call centers

The idea that 7000 Monsterjobs were under threat yesterday after the collapse of a paper mill in Fife and the closure of call centres in Edinburgh is being questioned, same with the north part of the country.

Spiralling energy costs have been blamed for the collapse of the 145-year-old Fife paper maker Smith Anderson & Company, which yesterday called in the receiver KPMG, with 106 immediate redundancies.

Separately, monsterjobs are under threat because of a contract with the phone giant Vodafone ending three months early.

Based in Fettykil Mills in Leslie, the company is part of the Monsterjob Group, one of Scotland's oldest manufacturing companies. It was founded in 2001.
