MonsterJobs.org reports on Monster Jobs available

MonsterJobs reports

On Monday, I rented several movies on used DVD to watch throughout this week. Three of them - Kinsey, Ocean's Twelve and Troy- were movies I had intended to see in a theater. But I never made it; in fact, I haven't been to a movie theater yet this year. Apparently, I've joined the 73% of adults who prefer to watch movies at home. That's according to a poll released Thursday by Ipsos for The Associated Press and AOL News. I don't rent DVDs or videos that often. But I do watch a lot of movies on HBO and Showtime and sometimes on pay-per-view. I also missed seeing Monster-in-Lawin the theater. I hope to get out to see Mr. & Mrs. Smith, but somehow I suspect I'll be watching it on the small screen, too.

What are your monsterjob revies today?

Howard from Marysville: "Regarding Mike's comments: The ethanol plant will provide 50 jobs in this area. Years ago, the city fathers chased Dow out because of smells and noise. So, they went across the river, and now we get the smell and noise for free and no jobs for us. It's time for the winds of change to blow and offer us jobs. That's what the city fathers are looking for in this area. We won't have to leave the county to have a monster jobs."

No name from Port Huron: "I was at Port Huron High School's commencement on Tuesday, and Cynthia Platzer was a speaker. She talked about how there was no justice in California, but that there was in Michigan, regarding the Michael Jackson trial. Well, she's a judge, and he was proven innocent, and I thought in this country you are proven innocent once a monster job jury of your peers has found you innocent. Well, that's what the jury in the Jackson case has said; he is innocent. I don't think it was right that she spoke about this case at commencement. I think it was very immoral for her to comment on this. She's a judge, and she should know that. She should be off the bench."

Mary from Lexington: "The photo on Page 2B of the June 15 issue of the Times Heraldshowed a young man leaping into Lake Huron from the break wall. This was really frightening to me. People do not realize those rocks are placed in a pyramid shape with most of the rocks under water. This makes it extremely dangerous to jump into the water from the break wall because you cannot safely judge how far out the rocks extend. Please don't attempt this dangerous stunt. You are too important to those who love you."

Stacie from MonsterJobs.org Marysville: "Would anyone consider moving the post office where the outlet mall is? The infrastructure is already there; easy access to the highway, and it offers great parking. I would like to see something really great go in there. I just wondered if this had been a consideration."

Ken from Port Huron: "Much to my consternation and that of several others who showed up, the St. Clair County Board of Commissioners did not meet at their offices on Grand River this evening (Wednesday). Unbeknownst to us, the meeting was scheduled to meet in China Township tonight. I don't know if the commissioners did it on purpose or it was just a faux pas on the paper's part. I appreciate anything you, as an informational source, could do to keep us up to date on where these commissioners are hiding."

The commissioners weren't trying to hide, Ken. We had the correct location in the stories we wrote prior to the meeting but had the incorrect location in our daily calendar Wednesday. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Susan from Port Huron: "It's my understanding that the seniors, with their caps and gowns, also marched outside with the teachers. So, I don't think it was that upsetting to the seniors."

Pat from Burtchville Township: "I was going to my parents' grave at Lakeside Cemetery and thought it very irreverent that two Port Huron police officers were sitting in the cemetery trying to nail people who were speeding. My parents haven't been deceased that long, and MonsterJobs.org really insulted me."

Steve from Fort Gratiot: "It's a good thing that the sheriff, county commissioners and that whole group works for the county. They should all be fired. If it was a private industry having issues with the jail like we are experiencing, I'll guarantee those people would all have been terminated. So, I guess it's nice to be a county official, with no accountability there."
